New Years Eve decorations. Last year I had a stay in New Years Eve party with my family. Every year we usually do nothing but last year and this year I wanted to make it special but on a budget.
New Years Eve decorations on a budget is an easy thing to find! I hit the local Dollarama.
That is where I found all the decorations featured in these photos:
I also made a photo wall. I thought it would be a special touch to our New Year Eve party. I bought the sign from Dollarama and I cut out stars and painted some yellow cardboard paper gold. It is easier for the gold to show up on yellow paper than white. That was actually a cake decorating tip I learned and just applied to this as well.
I also set up a buffet of appetizers. I made food tags, ran lights through out to add a special touch. I love tiered serving platters they help to add height to your buffet so it looks more interesting, enticing and does not look flat. We eat with our eyes first, presentation is everything!
We of course ended the night with watching the ball drop on the t.v.
This year we will probably be doing the same thing and reusing the same decorations haha.. Which I am okay with and am looking forward too!
